WHAT IS YOUR GOD-MODEL LIKE?

People often ask one another in social conversation: “Do you believe in God?”. Usually the answer is a quick and ready “Yes, I do”, or a “No, I don’t”, and the conversation soon shifts to other current topics of the day. To my mind, instead of the quick and ready answer there should be counter questions: “What do you mean by God? Tell me what is your understanding of who or what God is. Then I can answer whether I believe in God or not”. Depending on the mental make-up of the original questioner, the conversation will still shift even faster to other current topics of the day, or it may lead to an exchange which lasts for hours.
My point is that since there is no commonly held, well defined notion of God, one cannot answer the original question. There may be some attributes which most people commonly assign to God, such as “the supreme intelligence” or “the creator of the universe”, etc. But beyond these vague generalities, there can be so many other attributes, which one person may have assigned to God, and another may not be willing to. For example, one person may assign to God the attribute “is pleased by an offering of flowers”, whereas another person may not be willing to assign such an attribute to God. One person may assign the attribute “grants favors in return for sincere prayers”, whereas another person may not assign such an attribute to God, and in fact may assign an opposite attribute: “cannot be bargained with --- our experiences are the immutable consequences of our deeds”. And so on.
Here the concept of “model” comes in really useful. In the physical and the social sciences, the word “model” is used for some description of a complex situation or process developed by an observer. Thus we have had several “models” of the atom; we have several “models” for the propagation of floods in river systems; we have several “models” for the spread of various types of infections; and so on. Models by their very definition leave out a lot to be explained about the real situation or process. But they do explain some part of the situation or process, which some people find useful.
Naturally, different observers will develop different models of the same situation or process. That is the reason for the word “several” in the above examples. Which one is the “right” model? None of them! Each one is some observer’s generalization of some particular aspect of a complex reality. This is somewhat like the story of the blind men and the elephant. None of the blind men could grasp the complete reality of the elephant. So the blind man who could only feel the elephant’s tail had a different “model” for what an elephant is, and the blind man who could only feel the elephant’s legs had a different “model” for what an elephant is, and the blind man who could only feel the elephant’s tusks had yet a different “model” for what an elephant is. None of those models was “right”; but each one explained some part of the reality that is the elephant.
For a model to be accepted by at least some people in the world as being even partly right, it has to be based on observed, verifiable data. A model not based on observed and verifiable data will likely be rejected as absurd, and based merely on someone’s fantasies. And as more observed verifiable data comes in over time, older models may get modified, enhanced or rejected outright, and newer ones which better explain reality take their place.
In today’s multi-cultural, multi-religious world it is useful and peace-promoting to look upon each person’s notions of God as his own personal God-model. As long as his God-model does no harm to, or is not a nuisance to others, he is welcome to it. The unfortunate part is that a person’s God-model is not always truly personal. It is often like hand-me-down clothing from a series of persons over centuries; clothing which does not fit him very well today, but which he wears because his ancestors wore them.
Man has been creating numerous God-models for the last several thousand years, ever since he started to become conscious of the universe around him. Many of the older models have been rejected by mankind as not conforming to observed reality. But many older models not conforming to observed reality are still widely accepted.
What do you think? What is your God-model like? Can you briefly describe or outline it? Is it truly yours? Or are you living with it because you were born into it?

Titanic - Some interesting facts

In 1898 (14 years prior to the Titanic tragedy), Morgan Robertson wrote a novel called Futility. This fictitious novel was about the largest ship ever built hitting an iceberg in the Atlantic ocean on a cold April night. The fictional ship (named Titan) and the real ship Titanic were similar in design and their circumstances were remarkably alike. Both ships were labeled "unsinkable".

he time interval from first sighting of the iceberg to impact was a little over 30 seconds.

The Titanic sank 2 hours and 40 minutes after hitting the iceberg.

It probably took Titanic about 15 minutes to sink to her final resting place on the ocean floor. That means that Titanic sank at a rate of 10 miles per hour (or 16 km per hour).

In 1907, J. Bruce Ismay (President of the White Star Line) and Lord Pirrie (Chairman of Harland & Wolff shipbuilders) dreamed up the idea to build luxurious ocean liners as a way for the White Star Line to compete in the transatlantic passenger market. A total of three ships were planned: The Olympic, Titanic and Gigantic. The next year was spent doing extensive design work.

On July 30, 1908, authorization was given to build the Titanic and her sister ship the Olympic. In 1911, the order was placed for the third ship Gigantic. When this ship was completed, it was ultimately named the Britannic. Many believe that the name was changed because Gigantic sounded too similar to Titanic.

The keel for the Titanic was laid on March 31, 1909.

The Titanic was launched on May 31, 1911 at 12:15 pm.

The Titanic left Belfast, Ireland and headed for Southampton, England on April 2, 1912.

Titanic arrives in Southhampton on April 3, 1912.

The Titanic left Southampton on its maiden voyage on Wednesday, April 10, 1912 at 12:00 Noon.

The Titanic struck an iceberg on Sunday, April 14, 1912 at 11:40 pm.

The Titanic sank on Monday, April 15, 1912 at 2:20 am.

The wreck of the Titanic was found on September 1, 1985.

Lifeboats:

The Titanic carried a total of 20 lifeboats. 14 of these lifeboats were wooden and each one had a capacity of 65 persons, 2 were wood cutters with a capacity of 40 persons each and 4 were collapsibles (wood bottoms and canvas sides) and each collapsible was capable of carrying 47 persons. The total capacity of all 20 lifeboats was 1,178 people. This was obviously not enough lifeboats to save all the 2201 people on board the Titanic. If every lifeboat left the Titanic filled to maximum capacity, 1,023 persons would have been left behind. Unfortunately, very few lifeboats were filled to maximum capacity when they were lowered from the Titanic into the icy water. This caused the death toll to rise dramatically. When the order came from Captain Smith to commence loading the lifeboats, the Titanic's Officers were probably unaware of the magnitude of the situation. Their apparent complacency did not instill a sense of urgency and therefore caused many passengers to balk at the opportunity to get into a lifeboat. To make matters worse, there were never any lifeboat drills and the crew had not been informed that each lifeboat could be safely lowered when filled to capacity. Only 711 persons were rescued and 1490 died. Luckily, the Titanic was not filled to capacity (3,547 persons). If this were the case, there would only be enough lifeboats to save one-third of the people (assuming that every lifeboat was filled to capacity).

Why so few lifeboats? Well, believe it or not, the Titanic actually exceeded the number of lifeboats required by the Board of Trade at that time. The regulations, ratified in 1894, applied to ships of 10,000 gross tons or larger. As ships increased in size over the years, the lifeboat requirements stayed the same. The Titanic was designed to carry a total of 48 lifeboats, but the White Star Line decided that passenger comfort was most important. They believed that an increase in the number of lifeboats (beyond 20) would have cluttered the decks and taken up valuable space. Harland and Wolff tried to persuade the White Star Line to install more lifeboats, but eventually gave up the fight. As they say, "the customer is always right".

When the lifeboat needs were finalized, the general feeling was that the modern ship was engineered and built so well that even if a ship was in a situation where it might sink, there would be plenty of time for other ships in the area to come to the rescue. It was also believed that the main purpose of the lifeboats was to ferry passengers and crew from the distressed ship to the rescue ship(s). The Titanic tragedy prompted laws requiring that ships carry enough lifeboats for all passengers and crew.

Who is SONIA GANDHI? (Every Indian Should Know This)

Who is Sonia Gandhi:

There is officially no Sonia Gandhi. Her real name in passport is neither Gandhi nor Sonia. It’s Edvige Antonia Albina Maino. Sonia is a Russian name and not italian. However, Antonia is an italian name and her passport is italian. Though she has married Rajiv Gandhi* she never accepted change of title officially. ( recall the time of turmoil in indian politics when Sonia Gandhi was trying to be the prime minister, but ultimately ManMohan Singh became her toy)

*Rajiv Gandhi: Actually Rajiv Khan being the son of Feroze Khan and Indira Priyadarshani Nehru. Gandhi is an assumed title to sentimentally lure indians for their political benefit.

Father:

Stefano Eugene Maino is socially the father of Sonia. Her father was a German (hitlers army). When Hitlers army went to russia they were captured and imprisoned. He was captured near St. Petersburgh and was imprisoned for 20 years. But he became a member of KGB and his imprisonment was limited to 4 years. Education: She initially put forward to Indian Govt. that she studied in Cambridge University which proved to be fake. She submitted an affidavit that she studied english in Bell Education trust at Cambridge. Even this was proven to be fake and was found she never got any education after class five. She was a young girl with no formal education living five years in england. How did she support her livelihood for 5 years? Any wild guesses?

Citizenship: She has not given off her italian citizenship. Indira Gandhi used her power to issue her an Indian Citizenship so that she can join Indian politics. She is holding an illegal citizenship in India. No action is being taken by Home Minister.

Religion: Cristianity.

Bank Balance: Rajiv Gandhi and his family owned 2 billion USD in Swiss Bank as of November,1991. Benefitiary of death of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi was Sonia Gandhi.

Sonia's son Rahul Gandhi, whose real name is Raul Vinci. He got admitted to Harvard in quota but was thrown off soon because he was incompetant. He has italian citizenship since his mother never gave up her citizenship. He cannot officially become the citizen of india or any politician in india as long as he doesnt give up his italian citizenship. Arrested in Boston airport for carrying 160,000 dollars cash, accompanied by Veronique (spanish). veronique is the daughter of Drug mafia leader. Rahul has also been accused for gang raping Sukanya Devi, whose petition to all courts in India have been rejected due to their political hold and the whereabouts of the family is unknown. Vegetarian — Or Not?

Raising a child to be vegetarian or dealing with one while one parent enjoys meat can be confusing, says ANURADHA VARMA.

You enjoy your fish, while your spouse digs his veggies…or you both enjoy meat, while it makes your child queasy. How do you guide your child’s eating choices, without passing value judgements?

When Vijayluxmi Bose’s son was young, he refused to touch his meat and found fish smelly — a very difficult situation indeed for a Bengali family. He equated meat with animals and the sight of meat on his plate brought images of animals being slaughtered.

Despite pressure from well-meaning relatives and friends, Bose decided to let her son be. However, she says, “He now has eggs and occasionally kebabs. But if there’s a choice between rajma and korma, he’ll choose the former.” He’s also been explained that it may be discourteous to refuse meat as a guest at someone’s house, when veggies may be a more expensive option or when they rarely figure as part of the menu.

Parents’ Dilemma

It’s tough for parents to walk the talk when it comes to raising kids as ‘veggies’, even when the choice is made for them. A young mother, a vegetarian, shares her dilemma, “My husband is a hardcore non-vegetarian and I don’t even eat eggs, so I had my task cut out when my daughter was old enough to understand. However, we are of one opinion that she doesn’t really need to eat meat now and it will be entirely her choice once she is old enough.”

Leaving it to the child to decide may work in some cases, but is easier said than done for others. Sumita Thapar’s parents decided to allow their three children to choose to eat meat if they wished despite being vegetarians themselves. She states, “Today, two of us remain hardcore vegetarian. One of my brothers enjoys his mutton, and my little nephew counts bacon as his favourite food. Fine by all of us.”

Having a set of parents, one vegetarian, and the other ‘non-veg’, can make for a confused child. Priya Cassens rewinds to her childhood, “The child wants to emulate the parents’ eating habits and doesn’t know what to do. While Mom was vegetarian and we are vegetarians by caste, Dad had opportunities to sample meat dishes at the neighbours’, growing up in north India.

My parents never discouraged me from eating meat, but it was never really ever prepared at home and if Dad ever wanted to cook chicken occasionally, Mom asked him to use separate utensils and dishes.”

She adds, “So while I had been introduced to meat at a very early age and even liked the taste of it, I think watching my Mom not eat it, and not even like the smell of it, made me feel uncomfortable about eating meat.” While her brother grew up unreservedly relishing meat-based dishes, she chooses chicken and fish only if there isn’t “a good vegetarian alternative”.

Confusing Rules And Standards

For parents who want to ensure their children stay vegetarian, how do they explain to a child that it’s wrong to kill animals when one parent eats meat? Psychiatrist Anjali Chhabria believes there’s no perfect way to do this. She says, “The child wonders why there are different rules or standards set for him and his parent. In order to deal with this situation, you can start by telling your child that different individuals tend to follow different eating habits for different reasons.

One has learnt from childhood that eating meat is okay, however, the other has learnt that eating meat involves killing animals which is morally incorrect. You can emphasise on the positive aspects of eating vegetarian food. For instance, it’s healthier and easier to digest. Also, it is important that you focus on the eating behaviour and don’t give any labels to the parent, such as: ‘he’s doing wrong, it doesn’t mean you do it, too’.”

And, how do you deal with emotional children, once they make the connection that meat comes from animals they love reading about or see around them? Chhabria adds, “If the child is very attached emotionally to, say, a toy duck that she plays with while having a bath, you need not explain how the animal is killed and made into meat.

Also, you can give the child a scientific and nature-based explanation as to how the ecosystem maintains its balance when people eat farm food as well as animals. It’s important that the parent helps the child understand that there is no sin in eating meat.” It’s wise to allow the child to explore and take her own decision.

Is Vegetarianism Good?

Meanwhile, is a purely veggie diet good for kids? Explains Delhi-based dietician Beena Arora, “The nutritional needs of children change, as they grow. A vegetarian diet can meet a child’s nutritional needs, but only if it is well-planned. A diet rich in fruits and veggies will be high in fibre and low in fat, factors known to improve cardiovascular health by reducing blood cholesterol and maintaining a healthy weight.

If your child insists on pizzas or burgers, make it at home and include as many veggies as you can.

She cautions, “Some of the nutrients that vegetarians should include in their diet are: vitamin B12 — present in dairy products and vitamin-fortified products like cereals and bread; vitamin D — present in citrus juices;

Calcium — dairy products, green leafy vegetables, tofu and other soy products being the rich source; Iron — whole grains, leafy green vegetables, and iron-fortified cereals, bread and Zinc — wheat germ, nuts, fortified cereal, dried beans, and pumpkin seeds.”

It’s a balancing act, in more ways than one! Ultimately, it’s a matter of choice.

Debate : Veg. - Non veg.

Debate on Veg – Non Veg

All the people in this debate have been shown a following video (petatv video)

Ali Abdullah : I agreed what they are showing to this video is cruel this is not a way to sacrifice lawful animal...base on this we cannot eat meat of this animal..pig is prohibited in all major religion....and of course those daises can be reject if u do not have excessive of it.

Rahman Sheikh: If "ALL" humans stopped having non veg, there will not be any veg left for them to eat..and if all humans start eating non-veg the food chain will get disturbed.....respect both vegetarians and non vegetarians

Kasthuri Rengan: You may not be a born vegetarian; but you can grow as a vegetarian if you have the awareness. God will not be unkind to provide food if entire world turns into vegetarian. Dont you feel pathetic in killing defenseless animals. Prick your hand with a pin once and feel the pain....Think before you eat

Yogi Baria-Vegan:: ‎@Ali Abdulla - So you are proud to slaughter an animal in a way that they die a painless death ??? And makes you free of diseases? so is it fine to dine upon it then, if I kill a man and give him a painless death, is it fine too ?? a chicken or a goat also has brilliant mind and heart of its own, if I cut a branch or pluck a fruit I guarantee that same branch which is cut will grow and develop but when u cut wings can u grow them back or will the birds be able to grow them back, don't u think wings are for flying and not for eating, when u cut a goat's limb will it grow, isn't it given for a goat to walk . Humans are the only one to comprehend all this. My respect and love for your religion is higher than u can imagine but my views on sacrificing an animal does not match.

Yogi Baria-Vegan:: ‎@Rahman Sheikh - Are you saying that if the whole world would turn over vegetarian all the vegetables would become scarce. The number of plants that must be fed to an animal to produce enough meat for one human is greater than the number of plants required to feed that same human if he or she ate the plants directly. Meat-eaters are responsible for consuming more plants than vegetarians, and they also kill and cause suffering to animals. Half of our agriculture goes in animal rearing. Rich food to fatten the farm animal goes in to produce quality meat for wealthy people and waste comes out in the form of dead flesh - meat.

Our own people is suffering more because we look into raising grains to feed animals for exotic meat rather than giving it to the undernourished. We raise animals to kill them for food.. are humans so great ?? how will you feel when someone raises you just to dine over u.

Dev Kumar: Once I asked to group of Muslim Guys why can't you stop eating animals. what they replied? They said...." Are you Crazy??? If we stop eating animals....they will be over populated and there won't be enough space on land for for humanity to live". So I tricked them...I slightly changed my question and again asked " It would be Sin if you keep torturing animals and eating them" again they smartly answered " If animal is eating animal is it a Sin? is that cruelty?. I was speechless.

Dev Kumar: What kind of moron thinks that we are the ones who balance the nature?? if all start eating veg there will be shortage of veg??? Great Ur community IQ level must be Minus - 10. BIS research say earth quake is being caused by Millions of Animals are being slaughter in machine mercilessly and when they cry and scream their waves direct hit the core plate of earth and in return that backfire a jolt. Google It…Your Tongue is addicted to Taste so you will give an excuse of religion or ur stupid thoughts.

Nidhi Halan: ‎@all the people who want to eat meat.. I just have one thing to say to all.. If you cannot feel the pain of some living animal that is being tortured before being killed mercilessly to satisfy your carnal needs, you don’t have the right to call yourself human. So you can choose and carry on with your morbid lives with your eyes shut and heart frozen.

Dev Kumar: ‎@Saba That's exactly is my point, this video does not hardly matter to flesh eater :). Also, you must be more generous to offer yourself when Nature comes for revenge :). Nature has its own style of way to eat flesh eaters ,fried, tadka, kabaab tandoori style etc :). History is witnessed all the natural disaster happened where flesh eaters or others have done more Sin. 2003 Indonesia , chennai tsunami- They have killed billions of fishes in name of Blue Revolution, Japan 2011 Tsunami, citizen of Japan have started eating baby fetus and fetus were in demand girls were selling fetus has became a great business. Animals, no matter how small play a great part to balance the nature. believe it or Not, nature work's according to human behaviors.

Yogi Baria-Vegan:: ‎@Dev kumar on people who answer that over population of animals if we don't eat them - species only exist in the numbers that they do because humans breed them for meat and other animal products. We make them to grow in numbers for our selfishness. chickens and others are bred unnaturally. They will not over run us. nature knows how to keep the balance. If they so concerned about population then in that case humans should be the one who must be killed to keep the balance.

Yogi Baria-Vegan:: ‎@Dev Kumar " If animal is eating animal is it a Sin? is that cruelty?" Do they compare themselves with animals :) We err in copying the lower animals. They are not visualizing who they really are. I will try to help them know better. I completely agree with their point but thinking about how others feel is what humans have as a gift. We have a highly developed zeal and love. We are different..poring blood , slicing throat of a goat or a chicken is horror indeed.. disgusting.. we are in the 21st century evolved with emotions of love towards all animals.. stimulate that compassion towards all and the one avoids it are perturbed to spoil their dinner .. Men knows animals have families but He sees his family first and ignorance of animal pain becomes as if done to justify his actions is natural for his own survival.. Which is by far not needed and 'Wrong'. Our orchards offer all the delights imaginable while the slaughter houses and butchers are full of congealed blood and abominable stench.. with blood and eyes popped out, where u sit and eat is not what a human will want.. disguising the dead meat by culinary preparations, the outward appearance is changed and tenderized because the sight of raw and bloody meat only exited horror and disgust in man.

Saba Ahmad: ‎@Yogi and Dev... I feel really strange about people who are bothered about what others are doing... It would be much better if u look and concentrate on ur own deeds and actions and what U r doing for the society... Let others be and concentrate on ourselves... Preach less and act more.

Mustafizur Rahman Maruf: Whoever made this video is an A$$hole!!! plants have life too!!! so u r also killing them. so an animal is able to make noise and show some resistance means they get the pity !!! Whatever the screams of plants! we do not able to hear it does mean they do not scream, does not mean they do not have family!!! beside, it’s not meat what makes heart disease. it’s how people maintain their diet! means how much they consume! Mad cow is human created! Cattle r vegetarian but greedy farmers where feeding them organs of sheep so they can grow quickly!!! if u want to live healthy then choose good diet and yes try to go back original farming of old days! where people raise farms or cattle like a domestic animal should raise, not giving them hormone injections to produce more milks, changing their diet and not killing harsh manner to save money and to process quickly so that more meat can be supply to fast foods!!! Eating Pork is not allowed by any religion or major religion but still people eat it even though scientifically proven how bad its impact could be to human health!!! apart from that, what about the vegetables that are GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). some of them have shown already big impact on mother nature!!! what about using pesticides to produce more vegetables to uses of green house! The main issue here is Capitalism not herbivorous or vegetarian. Diverting people to become more vegetarian is a pure propaganda of Seeding companies because to produce GMO crops each year u have to buy seeds from them. no GMO crops can reproduce or act like a seed if u plants it or want to use it as seeds!!! Educate urself first. knowledge is the key!

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@ Mustafizur - the way u start your comment with a bad word shows and proves which I didn't believe but now it seems certain... As a result of the increase in pain, the subtle tama - inertia(greed, anger) component goes up in the meat. This is also partly caused by the animal having increased thoughts of anger towards the people killing it in a manner that is required by these communities. Holding an animal upside down for his or her throat to slit apart the veins is a violation in itself.

Knowledge is the key. Yes it is, to open the lock of our close minds and heart to feel the difference in plant and animal life. I was a non vegetarian earlier in the past when I was stuck with just seeing the circle of life as an excuse to kill animals for survival. For a human there is a lot more in the canvas of life to explore then just seeing everything with one frame of mind. I realized my mistake that it is not needed for a human being to kill and capture animals for his own gain, there are alternatives.. .. "I have always eaten animal flesh with a somewhat guilty conscience."

Yogi Baria-Vegan: It has been over a year without any animal product in my diet (not even milk). I am a vegan. I am a gym going enthusiastic. I am healthy than most lac-to vegetarian or non vegetarian. There are alternatives and there are ways to get everything without killing animals. I assure you. I have experienced it. On the similar note if there is no other way then I would prefer death than gaining my own health by eating non veg. But believe me, there are. Try it once and feel the difference. I don't say you people are inhuman or some unkind words towards non vegetarians. Because I was one myself in the past. Unconditional love is all that is needed to feel connected and whole to every living being on this planet, once we see them as no 'them' or 'other' but just a part of 'us'....everything changes.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: I can even guess where your sources of knowledge is aggravating in seeing plant and animal feeding one and the same through peace TV's Dr Zakir. Right !

http://www.islamicvoice.com/december.98/zakir.htm

Plant life is all together a different life force on earth. I agree they are living too. First of all see the difference between a plant and an animal life by what we see, because God or the creator did not create science to make us know if plants feel pain or not..

Plants – Animals, blood – chlorophyll, legs – branches, eyes – buds, brain – stem, excretion – fruits, heart - Root

I think we can comprehend by this that humans have similar traits to animal so u can feel by your heart and eyes alone , no need of science, to know what a plant or an animal has to suffer for our so called taste because anyone can live being a healthy vegetarian or vegan.

The life which loves becomes food. Lets see if science can prove that plants love too. Just by looking at an animal u can figure it out that it is so much like us thats why we share our world with animals. u can cut vegetables in front of a kid , can u cut a goat's throat or chicken wings in front of them. Now I have to say Don't see the difference. Feel the difference.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@ Mustafizur ''Whatever the screams of plants! we do not able to hear it does means they do not scream, does not means they do not have family!!!'' what did your God give u, a ear to hear 20 cycles per second- to 20,000 cycles per second is the capacity heard by the humans.. or below that so that you hear plant shout or not. I know parent plant also exist but who can put a caring hand or lick their child with love.I don't see any thing which can make a plant do such things or create emotions such as these. Feel the difference.

Where as science goes Photosynthesis is exactly the reason plants are eaten. They are designed to bring in energy from the sun onto the Earth.

Without that, there would be no more energy on the Earth it would eventually be consumed. All life on earth is because of the sun and water. Well plants are the only one to convert that both and make food out of it. If we study the eco system there is always a line written- animals do not have the ability to make their own food that is why they depend on plants for it. Hmm.. Our education system only shows the life cycle or circle of life I would say, and makes us believe that we are animals so we should eat other animals but the bigger picture fades away. We know animals feel pain and suffer like we do and Humans are capable to visualize it. I am a Human who can acknowledge the position of the other being which suffers. So why should I bring trouble to the one who has not even caused me aggravation. In matters like this one should use a human heart which God has endowed us with, not science which we created.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@Saba I am not bothered about what others are doing, I am bothered for my animal friends who are tortured and killed when humans know they can live on a vegetarian or vegan diet. I am a vegan who refuses to use any animal products including animal milk and what I am doing for the society and my mother earth is incontrovertible. If you have any doubt then have look on the Internet what difference does it make to be a vegan for the environment? For those concerned about our environment, reducing meat consumption is as fundamental as reducing car use or being a conscientious recycler. According the study report, meat eating or non vegetarian food habit practiced by human beings all over the world played an important role in global warming as well as polluting all components of our biosphere.

Mustafizur Rahman Maruf: ‎@Yogi: yes, u can only accuse me for starting with bad words! I acknowledge it but I was pissed to see all these lies and its going for long time!!!

I do not want to argue with u as I think I have already stated my points and all the points r valid. If not then search for it and u must agree with me. At the last I will end with a quotation of a wise man as I am sure u r not getting what our points r and trying to say what u just have to say or u believe!!! The quote "it is wise to argue with an illiterate person than to an irrational person."

Vivek Subs Mustafizur- you’re as dumb as a person can get. You just won’t listen to all the points Yogi suggested, all backed up by research. You just won’t listen to the plight of an Animal for the devils sake!

Dev Kumar: That's the difference studying in Madrassa and college :). And Dr Zakir's lectures are bonus to destroy brain cell.

Dev Kumar: ‎@Yogi read the book "Autobiography of a Yogi" By Paramhansa Yogananad. there is a chapter, he met a Indian scientist Jagdish chandra basu who discovered the life in plants tree, further he also explained that even metal has a reaction, on that he explained metal and everything made of a small particle and particle original form is light and that light is Creator (God). Even while we breath.. Kills millions of small bacteria (unseen to eye) though they have also life....right. How Muslim will take it ...." See killing bacteria is not a sin while breathing...so killing animal is also not a sin " lol. Read it you will find lot of scientific facts and experiment done under spiritual guidance. There is one more book called "The Holy Science" By Yukteshar Ji. Thought I must share it with you... :)

Hiten Patel: While the documentary is good in its own right, how much has it benefited the lives of the Vegans? There are just as many individuals with diseases and ailments who are Vegans. How about the suggestion(s) on growing enough crops so that the World Hunger can be sustained? :) Remember what we see is sometimes really not the problem :) Even plenty of Vegans are diabetic and loaded with all kinds of ailments blood pressure, cancer, TB, etc. Let’s keep the country CLEAN and the fat asses lean, mean and trimmed with plenty of exercises. Stop eating Cheese or Milk or GHEE (which is nothing more than clarified FAT). What about the Vegans who with their likes and love of milk based product put a strain on animals and suck them dry of their milk ? You see, the problem lies at several stages of a society not just the Non-Vegetarians. Some of the crap is nothing more than propaganda on this Video. How much do you think average Vegan has outlived the Non-Vegan? :) Solutions are plenty but nobody wants to implement. We all talk about it and spread the PETA videos but does it really work? I don’t think so.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: For Mustafizur... Here are some of the quotes from wise men around the world you would like to read as you follow the quotes of wise men. "I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being." Abraham Lincoln, 16th U.S. President "The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men." Leonardo da Vinci, artist and scientist

"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages." Thomas Edison, inventor

"For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love." Pythagoras, mathematician

"Our task must be to free ourselves . . . by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty." "Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." Albert Einstein, physicist, Nobel Prize 1921

"As long as there are slaughterhouses, there will be battlefields."

"What I think about vivisection is that if people admit that they have the right to take or endanger the life of living beings for the benefit of many, there will be no limit to their cruelty." Leo Tolstoy author

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."

"To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being."

Mahatma Gandhi, statesman and philosopher ..

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@Dev " See killing bacteria is not a sin while breathing...so killing animal is also not a sin "

Organisms which die when we breathe are single celled organisms, largely phytoplankton and algae. These organisms use the sun’s energy to produce oxygen that collectively makes up about 80% of the air we breathe. There are organisms living as such in our body too and non vegetarians connect that with killing animals to safeguard their taste.. Play with a goat someday which is going to become your food moments later, make the goat run around , and let him or her chase u.. make a bond with it, goat's breathing will become hard after chasing u , feel the heart beating very fast than your own.. u will know that the same heart stopped beating just because of your taste.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@Dev I will surely go through with the books you have referred for me. Thanks and yes Sir Jagdish Chandra did experiments which prove many things. But those who put this as an excuse to support non vegetarian diet I would like to say to them - Did you read the actual experiments he conducted?

JCB, was not able to get any response from plants by cutting it or tearing the leaves.

He only got a response when he dipped the roots in acid. It gave a faint response before it "died"(we know roots are sensitive).n What interesting with the same experiments and apparatus he also came to the conclusion that metals have life. I bet you never heard of that :-). They don't teach us in schools.

Experiments with music were conducted on plants and they are shown to give out a different vibration and grow better. Music is a vibration And it affects almost everything. even water. Checkout Masaru emoto experiments.

And other who have tried the same. Death Metal music makes water structure look very ugly. All of these experiments are not conclusive. And they have not taken into account various other factors of vibrations.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@Hiten How much do you think average Vegan has outlived the Non-Vegan?

It is not about outliving each other, it is about compassion towards our fellow beings. Peta videos are useful and can make many realize it. here is the small list of my selected peoples who are vegetarian or vegans...

First of all Mike Tyson :) Who is a vegan.

Leo Tolstoy, Emerson, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Pope, Sir Issac Newton, Pythagoras, Gandhi, Leonardo Da Vinci, George Bernard Shaw, Abraham Lincoln, Tobey Maguire, Peter Singer, Pamela Anderson, Jim Carrey, Simon Sui-Cheong Chau, Jimmy Liao, Casey Affleck, Alicia Silverstone, Natalie Portman, Jennifer Connelly, Bryan Adams, Donald Watson, Ingrid Newkirk, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Michael J. Fox, Tom Hanks

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@Hiten ''Stop eating Cheese or Milk or GHEE (which is nothing more than clarified FAT)''

Yes vegans don't consume dairy products. There are difference between vegans and vegetarians .

Dev Kumar: ‎@Yogi, Here is link to book available online. read the chapter 8,

In this chapter JCB take Yogi to his lab and where he perform a experiment on both Plants and later on metal which even leave Yogi speechless. really sound so weird but he only conclude that metal has an reaction when he drop some kind of chemical on them and how they react to it, but this does not state that Metal has a life....but he hint for something.

Though entire book is worth for reading...

Balkar Singh: Just OBSERVE that what's happening...the guy -'Yogi' claiming to be pure veg [not even milk as he says] is able to answer every query in a very crystal clear manner...That is not happening with any of the non-veg here...it's really very possessive; their[non vegs] Minds have been made that it doesn't makes difference...no matter if you give the most apt and accurate logical statement - they’re already possessed...they don't really want to know...they KNOW that it's wrong but NO...they can't help it - A KID who is fed NON VEG never knows where it came from...I must say that it's not even their fault! And it's much more difficult to develop a Pure VEG kid by a non veg mom : is it?

Nachiket Shah: ‎@ all non veg loving people splay mushtafizur n miss saba,,,u eat non vg / flesh jus for d sake of satisfying ur tongue taste buds,,, jus for few hrs / mins of taste u kill an animal?? is this justified?? if yes then give urself to tiger, lion or any other animal to satisfy there hunger n not taste buds,,, u people argue like anything to justify ur nonveg eating habits n will never be satisfied with any reason or proof..

Chinmay Shukla: @ yogi Baria Immature childish stubborn a$$hole: you gave all the research shit but haven’t answered mustafizur..... How is a life different from a life. Don’t forget our ancestors Mr. neanderthal they all survived because of flesh...... and this one was great plant: Excretion = fruit...Oh dear a fruit is the baby of the plant. flowers are not anuses...... I really loved it... - Chinmay pure veg Bhramin.

Rajasekhar Pentakota: I have stopped eating since last 3 years. It was tough for me to give up non-veg. but finally I succeeded . I complete stopped eating. Now I’m very happy having been saving so many lives indirectly. Please love animals.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@Chinmay ''Chinmay pure veg Bhramin'' Do bhramins use bad language. I hope not. Thanks for your compliment too. ''How is a life different from a life.'' How is the life of a human different from a life of an animal ?

Why look back on our past as a reason to justify our present or our future? Do we think our past, present, or future looks great? We have a past full of pain, fear, and manipulation. One place we could start changing this is in our treatment of animals. Whether we evolved to eat meat or not is irrelevant. It is not unhealthy to be vegetarian or vegan nowadays (at least for those of us living in countries where conditions that allow it). So I don't care if my ancestors ate meat. If, and I mean IF their doing so allowed my brain to grow to what it is now, I would like to use that so-called developed brain to realize that my taste buds no longer justify the pain and torture of animals, and that instead, if I wanted to be a part of evolution as opposed to a static participant, I would like to evolve consciousness and by evoking more empathy and compassion for a chance at a brighter future instead of repeating a dark and dismal history.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: we have NOT eaten animals since the beginning of time. We've only been a meat-eating culture for about the last 10,000 years, around the time that we became a herding culture. In fact, the very first war ever fought was over cattle/livestock. Before that, we were mostly plant-eaters. Will Tuttle's book "The World Peace Diet" tells all about it. I HIGHLY recommend it, as it also connects the dots as to everything we do and everything that happens to us is directly related to our relationship with animals and with how we treat them.

Yogi Baria-Vegan: ‎@Balkar You are 100% right.'' A KID who is fed NON VEG never knows where it came from.'' We are all born vegetarian but as we grow some evolve as non vegetarian.

“You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit. If it eats the rabbit and plays with the apple, I'll buy you a new car.”― Harvey Diamond

This explains a lot. We are all born out of compassion but it fades away and we lose our conscience because of some false science.

Kalpana: ‎@all non-vegetarians: Quest: Don’t plants also experience pain when killed?

Ans: Yes, plants too experience pain when killed or when parts of it are severed. The comprehension of pain however is less than for animals. This is because the mind and intellect of a plant is rudimentary as compared to that of an animal. However, if a fruit or vegetable is plucked when it is fully ripe or has fallen from a tree, there is relatively no pain to the plant... now, get it?
